Taiga Hybrid Sativa Dominant | Hydropothecary
THC 13-14% CBD 0-1%
This strain was created by cultivator Dutch Passions when they crossed a Sativa land-race hybrid known as “Power Plant” with an Indica hybrid whose genetics are rumored to come from Canada and Russia. Taiga is an auto-flowering cannabis cultivar with a short life-cycle. A predominantly forest green color with hints of yellow and light green, the buds have a nice resin coating. Aromas of citrus and spice followed by pine. Taiga characteristics are associated with long-lasting pain reduction and stress relief.
Caryophyllene is a balancing terpene common in basil, oregano, hops, and rosemary, and in spices such as cloves, caraway, black pepper, and cinnamon. It commonly presents notes of spice and pepper and has been associated with anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. The terpene beta-caryophyllene (BCP) shows promise for potentially helping treat anxiety and depression.
Pinene is an energizing terpene found in pine needles as well as orange peels, parsley, dill, and sage. It is also the most common terpene in the world. It delivers trademark scents of fresh pine and sweet wood.
Humulene is a motivating terpene found in hops, coriander, cloves, and basil, among other plants. Its aroma presents as woodsy and earthy with citrus overtones. Early research has shown humulene to be
anti-proliferative, meaning it prevents cancer cells from growing. It has proved to
be effective in suppressing appetite, making it a potential weight loss tool.
It is also associated with reducing inflammation, relieving pain and fighting bacterial infections.
Myrcene is a mellowing terpene found in high quantities in mangoes so eating it before consuming cannabis will strengthen the effects of THC and increase its absorption rate. With an earthy and musky scent, myrcene is also the most common terpene in cannabis, and is often found in larger quantities in indica-dominant strains. Strains that contain 0.5% of this terpene are usually indicas with sedative effects. It has also been reported that myrcene is useful in reducing inflammation and chronic pain and is known for being recommended as a supplement during cancer treatments.
